Hey everyone, Sorry for this giant delay on our project. Alot of stuff has happened this past month and now it is all behind me so shall we move on? I have added another person who will be doing the 3d work for us. 3dmanipulasi is pretty good with working with 3ds max. My windows side on my mac is not working right (i need to upgrade to windows 7) so I have pick him up.

Ok lets get going on to week 4. We need to pick sketches. Which designs do you like? why? Are there certain features that you like of certain designs? Do you want to just combine all the nice features together and see what we come up with?

Alright lets get this think back into gear. Again I apologize for the delay.

Ok everyone, Time to do some sketches. Jern Claus and I have decided to design a car for the company Aixam. Aixam is a French automobile manufacturer based in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie. It was founded in 1983 to make microcars.

Thank you to those who submitted a request to me. The response to my post was overwhelmingly great. I will do more group designs in the future so to those who submitted a request will be people of interest. I think that if many of you follow along and just copy what we are doing that you will improve significantly also.

There are going to be four people in our group. The four people are:

1. Danny Chhang
2. Jern claus [link]
3. Sheriff [link]
4. LaziRaven [link]

I will be the head of design for this first project. If we decide to do anything more we will change role. The process will proceed as follows:

week 1. Brainstorming - We will discuss what we want to design and do market research.
week 2. Ideation Sketches - we will be doing at least a week of sketches for the design criteria that we have agreed upon.
week 3. Ideation Sketches presentation - We will be working on presentation techniques and critique each others works.
week 4. Compiling ideation designs - We will pick out which design we want to move forward with. We will also polish the design we have selected.
week 5. We will present our polished design and I will pick what will be included in the final design.
week 6. I will compile all of our designs together as I see fit. I will then proceed on to rendering our design in 3d.
week 7. Now I am not all too big on doing presentations so I have selected Sheriff to do the final presentations. We will polish it till we have reached a good compromise.

Remember this is going to be a fun and educational experience. Lets go team!

Team work within the automotive design industry is important to every designer. That is why I have decided to start a joint collaboration project. I am seeking enthusiastic, motivated and very hard working automotive design students for this joint project. I will be taking requests until next Tuesday September 15th.

Just submit your name (username is fine) and a link to your portfolio. This is not a serious car design but you can use it in your portfolio. I just want to try and work with a team for the first time. You do not have to be a professional designer (because I am not yet either). I will be the project manager for this first collaboration. If it turns out successfully, for the second project we will all change roles. I want this to be fun and educational.
